If you’ve already visited the Costa Blanca it will come as little surprise to find that it’s the single most popular place for British purchasers to find their perfect place in the sun. If you’ve not yet had the pleasure then you really are in for a treat! Firstly, the weather is simply amazing with at least 320 days (that’s 3000+ hours) of sunshine a year combined with the best all-year-round temperatures of any of the Costa’s. Recognised as one of the best value areas to buy property in Spain, or indeed anywhere else, the name Costa Blanca translates as ‘White Coast’. The reason for which becomes clear when you consider that more than 100kms of its 212km Mediterranean coastline comprises beautiful sandy beaches and rocky coves, with over 160 of those holding the coveted European Blue Flag Award given only to the most exceptional beaches attaining the very highest levels of cleanliness and safety.

The Costa Blanca enjoys an average annual temperature of 19o with highs of 30o+ in the summer months and almost as many sunny days in the winter as there are in the summer! With water temperatures averaging 25o through the autumn and into winter you can even take a dip in the Med well into late October, whilst daytime temperatures often still reach into the 20’s right through December. That means that whilst our friends and family in the UK are suffering snow, rain, wind and storms, you can still be enjoying days on the beach days in shorts and t-shirt….. just remember that its rude to gloat!

Blessed with a climate that the World Health Organisation declare to be one of the very healthiest in the world the Costa Blanca also offers major health benefits, particularly to those suffering from heart disorders, breathing illnesses, rheumatism and bronchial problems. Medical considerations to one side, most of us find ourselves happier, more content and more relaxed in the sunshine – the Costa Blanca is absolutely the perfect tonic to those grey UK days!

If you’re fan of the fairways, the Costa Blanca has everything you could dream of with the best part of two dozen courses within the region, many of which rank amongst the finest in the world. For the golf widows (and widowers!) there’s plenty to do away from the courses. If you ever get bored of the beaches, tapas bars, pubs and clubs there’s always the superb shopping, the local markets, historical buildings and museums, free mud baths and nature reserves to name but a few of the options open to you. The Costa Blanca really does have something for everyone!

Well served by flights from all of the major and regional UK airports and with prices starting at less than £10 in the low season, the Costa Blanca is one of the most easily accessible destinations in the world. Served by the international airports in Alicante and further south by San Javier in Murcia, the southern Costa Blanca is easier, quicker and cheaper to get to than many holiday venues in the UK!

So go on, tell us – why wouldn’t you want to find ‘Your Place in the Sun’ on the beautiful Costa Blanca? You can pick up the phone, get online or even send us a carrier pigeon but whatever you do, make sure you get in touch and let us help you find that perfect place to live in the sun!
